ALTONA works with suppliers that are committed to ALTONA´s mission and values. The purchasing department is responsible for purchasing goods and services according to suitable quality standards, delivery terms and costs. It is also their responsibility to assure an optimal flow of inputs and services, making sure that the competitiveness and the cost x benefit considerations are kept within acceptable levels.
To become an ALTONA supplier, requirements have to be fulfilled:
• To have ISO-9000 certification or a similar Quality Assurance System;
• Evidence of compliance with the environmental law;
• Capability to supply under "Kan-Ban/ Just in Time" regimes;
• Compliance with all technical specifications of supply;
• To complete the supplier evaluation manual;
• No using child labor or any semi-slave regime labor.
