Altona conduct workshop at Vale S.A.

2011-04-06 - A workshop on slurry pump parts was conducted on March 30^th at the VALE S.A. owned Cauê mine, in Itabira-MG-Brazil. Organized by both ALTONA engineers Ricardo Osório and Jaques Amarante, the workshop was attended by 15 professionals from the Cauê mine who are currently working with slurry pump parts produced by ALTONA.

The workshop offered ALTONA a great opportunity to interact with VALE and show our technical capabilities and expertise in the slurry pumps area. It also provided for a lot of information sharing and networking. In addition, Ricardo and Jaques were able to address questions related to our products and receive first-hand feedback on performance and satisfaction.

 “On-site workshops like this one are a great way to gain field knowledge and experience from our customers (regarding what they want from us). They also offer a unique opportunity to promote our company and bring both teams together, the commercial and the technical teams. In these events we are able to exchange ideas and provide technical support, if necessary. It certainly was a valuable experience for everyone involved.” says the ALTONA engineer Ricardo Osório. The attendees list included PCM supervisors, engineers, mechanics and other professionals involved with the ALTONA – VALE contract of supply.
